One simple activity seems to be the most popular around, jogging on the beach early in the morning while witnessing astonishing sunrises. If you make it to Khao Katiab on your jogging trail you will have the added view of the city engulfed in a purple golden light, some of the most amazing pictures of Hua Hin are taken from this advantage point. The view from the fishing pier is dazzling; watching the fishing boats going out to sea at dawn after a morning workout can unwind your aching muscles and sooth your soul.

Golf

Golf is the most popular sport practiced in Hua Hin. Golf is what made it a tourist destination since the first golf course was built around the 1920's and remains the main attraction for its challenging greens and remarkable panoramic views of the ocean as well as the impressive mountain ranges.

Scuba Diving

Hua Hin is not precisely famous for its diving, since the visibility is only about 2 feet and the waters are shallow; but there are plenty of sensational coral reefs around the nearby islands where you can enjoy fabulous encounters with the rich marine life. Diving boats can be arranged at the local marina and they will take you to any of the great pots like, Suan Son and Khao Tao (Haad Sai Noi). Additionally they have equipment rental and certified instructors. Some say that these sites are 10 times better than those around Pattaya or Puhket.

The closest place to Hua Hin is Koh Talu off the coast of Bang Saphan about two hours south. Features a coral garden full of marine life and you can spot schools of snappers or fusiliers.

Jetski and Parasailing

There are several hotels offering rentals of jetskis, parasailing, banana boats and waterskiing. Parasailing is perfect for Hua Hin beach, but you won't see the waters invaded around central beach. In addition there are more rentals places and marinas at Khao Takiab.

Kitesurfing

Perfect for Hua Hin windy conditions and steady thermals together with an almost flat ocean, has made the Hua Hin's preferred watersport. There are now two schools of kitesurfing as well as kiteboarding. This thrilling exhilarating sport deserves the time spent on lessons as long as one can at least ride once!

Kayaking & Canoeing

These are also available for rent from some of the beach front hotels. It is very nice to take one out to sea and enjoy the view of Kao Takiab and the standing Golden Buddha. There are several waterways among the mangroves that provide a soundless intrusion into the wild life... perfect for exploration!

Cycling & Running

For those who enjoy running Hua Hin offers mountains, beaches, rivers and more. Unequivocally beautiful is running along beachside and witness the astonishing sunrise in Hua Hin. Cycling in Hua Hin's gorgeous countryside got to be top of the list. There is a local cycling club and there are specialized tours and nature trails. So check with your hotel of the Tourist Authority for more detailed information. There is a quad biking and off road biking track located in Khao Takiab.

Muay Thai - Kick Boxing

Popular and fascinating there are weekly matches held at the Muay Thai Gardens. The place rocks! Don't miss a match of the \"king of the Ring\" in martial arts. Before the event spectators are briefed on the rules of the game helping funs understand the game rules. Fighters demonstrate an endurance and agility not seeing in many sports.

Mini Golf

Hua Hin also has a mini golf course with 31 holes of pure fun. Enjoy a few rounds and after a winning round you can brag at the Bar & Restaurant and treat yourself to a round of snacks and some adult refreshments.

JWS Go Karts

A go Kart racing track is located near the airport with 700 m of outdoor tracks surrounded by the beautiful palm trees and mountains. The track is good for novice as well as experienced drivers and features go karts for both adults and children. In joint venture with local hotels JWS organizes racing events and competition that are becoming quite popular.

Fitness Centers

Most large hotels have a first-class fitness center offering weights and the most well known fitness equipment. Other gyms can be found at the Sport Villa, Grand Sport Center and Palm Hills Golf Club.

A new paintball arena recently opened in Hua Hin. The Splat Combat features individual as well as corporate events. Enjoy the strategic challenge of the game perfect for a family activity.

There are several military shooting ranges but perhaps the best one is Thanarat in Pranburi features a very challenging adventure obstacle course. You can select your weapon from handguns to powerful rifles.

Boat Rides, Sailing & Fishing

Several boat tours can be arranged from the marina half and full day tours to Skull Island, Lion Island, Monkey Island, night squid fishing, fishing trips, sunset dinner cruises and trips to Kao Sam Roi Yot.

Literally you can have a different trip every day; most charter boat trips include beverages and a Thai buffet meal. You can choose between the different types of vessels from fast cruises to slow traditional Thai boats. They feature green cruises using a replica of an old Thai teak slow boat that is environmentally friendly.
